2026 Annual General Meeting

South Adelaide Basketball Club

AGM Details

Date: Sunday 8 November 2026

Time: 4:00pm (Registration from 3:30pm)

Venue: Club Marion

The AGM will include the normal business of the Club, election of Management Committee positions and consideration of a proposed amendment to the South Adelaide Basketball Club Constitution.

Proposed Constitutional Amendment

The Management Committee is proposing changes to the Constitution to better reflect the current needs and structure of the Club.

• Rename the existing Junior Program Manager position to Junior Program Manager – Boys.
• Establish a new elected Junior Program Manager – Girls position.
• Establish a new elected Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager position.
• Incorporate the new positions into the Club’s alternating two-year Management Committee election cycle.
• Provide a transitional arrangement for the inaugural Junior Program Manager – Girls position.

Proposed Election Cycles

Cycle A – President, Treasurer, Senior Program Manager, Junior Program Manager – Girls

Cycle B – Vice President, Secretary, Junior Program Manager – Boys, Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager

Cycle B positions are due for election at the 2026 AGM. The inaugural Junior Program Manager – Girls will also be elected for an initial one-year transitional term before moving permanently into Cycle A from the 2027 AGM.

Nominations are invited for the following Management Committee positions:

Vice President – 2-year term

Secretary – 2-year term

Junior Program Manager – Boys – 2-year term

Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager – 2-year term*

Junior Program Manager – Girls – 1-year transitional term*

* Subject to approval of the proposed constitutional amendment at the AGM.

Nominations close: Sunday 25 October 2026

Nominations must be in writing, signed by the candidate, proposer and seconder, and lodged with the Secretary by the closing date.

The constitutional amendment will be considered before the election of the Management Committee. If approved, the new positions will then be available for election at the AGM.
