Club Coach Course (Free for current South Adelaide coaches)
South Adelaide Basketball has been successful in a grant application to upskill all of our coaches across both Domestic and District. Because of this funding, the Club Coach Course is free for current South Adelaide coaches (normally $150).
Duration
3 hours online + 6 hours in person
Eligibility
You must have completed the Community Coach Course, or have coached District/Association basketball. See below on the link to quickly do those free online courses
What you will learn
This course helps coaches understand modern coaching techniques and concepts at a District Club level, including:
Body movement fundamentals, basic defensive stance, ball handling, passing and catching, dribbling, shooting (including one-handed shot), lay-ups (footwork), 1 on 1 defence (on and off ball), motion principles (player and ball movement), full court offensive and defensive transition, 2 on 1 and 3 on 2 principles, and self-assessment and coaching self-awareness.

Aussie Hoops Coaching Course (free, 1 hour online)
Community Coach Course ($10, 3 hours online)
There’s been a lot of talk that Basketball Australia is moving toward compulsory coaching accreditation. This is a great opportunity to get ahead while this course is free for our coaches.
