Payment and Fees
All event fees are shown upfront at the time of registration.
South Adelaide Basketball Club does not apply a separate card payment surcharge for payments made by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or eftpos.
Event fees may include costs associated with running the event, administration and payment processing. The amount shown at registration is the amount payable, unless additional optional items are selected by the purchaser.
Customer Cancellations and Refund Requests
If a participant or purchaser cancels their registration, a refund may be provided in accordance with South Adelaide Basketball Club’s refund policy and any event-specific terms.
Where a refund is approved following a customer-requested cancellation, South Adelaide Basketball Club will deduct a $7.50 administration fee to assist with the cost of processing the cancellation and refund.
The $7.50 administration fee does not apply where South Adelaide Basketball Club cancels the event, is unable to provide the service, or where the participant is entitled to a refund under Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance or change of mind, except where approved by South Adelaide Basketball Club or where required under Australian Consumer Law.
South Adelaide Basketball Club may also deduct reasonable non-recoverable costs already incurred in relation to the participant’s registration, including but not limited to external provider costs, venue costs, uniform or merchandise costs, competition nomination fees or other event-specific costs. Any such deductions will be applied reasonably and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Event Postponement, Cancellation and Rescheduling
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to extreme weather, venue unavailability, safety issues, public health requirements or other circumstances outside the club’s reasonable control, South Adelaide Basketball Club may postpone, cancel, relocate or reschedule an event.
Participants will be notified as soon as reasonably practicable.
If an event is rescheduled, registrations will automatically transfer to the new date where reasonably possible.
If South Adelaide Basketball Club cancels an event and cannot provide a suitable alternative, participants will be offered a refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and the club’s refund policy.
Participant Expectations and Conduct
All participants, spectators and attendees are expected to behave respectfully and in line with South Adelaide Basketball Club’s values at all times.
Any behaviour that breaches the club’s code of conduct, venue requirements or reasonable directions from club staff, coaches, officials or volunteers may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the event without refund where appropriate.
Health and Safety Obligations
The safety of participants, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators is a priority.
All attendees must follow safety instructions, venue requirements and any applicable health guidelines.
South Adelaide Basketball Club may refuse or remove participation where safety requirements are not met, or where participation may create an unacceptable risk to the participant or others.
Photography and Media Consent
By attending or participating in club events, participants and attendees consent to South Adelaide Basketball Club using photographs and video footage for club promotional, marketing and communication purposes.
If you do not consent to photography or video footage being used, please advise South Adelaide Basketball Club in writing before the event.
Assumption of Risk
Participation in basketball and sporting activities involves inherent risks.
By registering for and attending an event, participants acknowledge and accept the ordinary risks associated with basketball activities, physical activity and attendance at sporting venues.
This does not limit any rights a participant may have under Australian Consumer Law.
Program and Schedule Changes
South Adelaide Basketball Club may make reasonable changes to event schedules, venues, coaches, groups or programming where required.
Where a change materially affects the event being provided, South Adelaide Basketball Club will notify participants as soon as reasonably practicable and will manage any refund or transfer requests in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and the club’s refund policy.
