South Adelaide Basketball is inviting families across southern Adelaide to join us for our SDJBL Summer Season Come & Try on Saturday 19 September at Mitchell Park Sports & Community Centre.

Designed for U8, U10, U12 and U14 boys and girls, the session is all about giving children the opportunity to experience basketball in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment.

No basketball experience is needed.

Whether your child has never picked up a basketball, currently plays Mini Ball, or has been asking about joining a team, our Come & Try session is a great place to start.

Our South Adelaide coaches will take the kids through some basic skills, fun activities and small games. There’s no pressure to perform and no expectation that they already know how to play. We simply want kids to get on court, have a go and enjoy themselves.

A great first step into basketball

Basketball is a fantastic way for children to stay active, make new friends, develop confidence and be part of a team.

For parents, there’s another fairly significant advantage. It’s an indoor sport! When winter rolls around, you can leave the umbrella at home and enjoy watching from the sidelines without wondering why you agreed to spend Saturday morning standing in the rain. 😄

Our Southern Districts Junior Basketball League provides a local pathway into basketball, with games played across the southern Adelaide area and age groups designed to help children learn and enjoy the game.
