South City Challenge 2026 – Nominations Now Open

The South City Challenge returns in 2026, with team nominations now officially open for this year’s tournament.

Running from Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July, the South City Challenge continues to provide a strong development opportunity for players, teams and referees across the basketball community.

The tournament is designed for Division 3 teams and below, including all U10 teams, and welcomes:

  • District teams
  • SA Country teams
  • SDJBL teams
  • Domestic teams
  • School teams

Now expanding from U10 through to U18 Boys and Girls competitions, the event focuses on creating competitive and well-matched games in a positive, community-focused environment.

Games will be played across a number of venues throughout southern Adelaide, including:

  • Mitchell Park
  • Wayville
  • Westminster
  • Reynella East
  • Morphett Vale

A key part of the South City Challenge is also referee development, with the tournament providing opportunities for officials to continue building confidence and experience across the weekend.

We’re looking forward to another fantastic few days of basketball and welcoming clubs from across South Australia and interstate.
